Alex Reece

Alex has worked at camp for several years before joining us full time, working as a counselor, Athletic Director and Division leader. A recent graduate of James Madison University, Alex is now working as our Director of Hiring, traveling across the country interview counselors, and assembling a great team of staff to take care of your children. In the summer months Alex serves as our group liaison and business administrator. This will be Alex’s 5th summer at Timber Ridge and we couldn’t be happier with everything that Alex brings to the team.

Andy Dillon

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Andy came to camp as a camper in 1997 and really has never left. He has over 10 years of experience working with children in camp and his recreation departments back in Columbus. He is a Buckeye through and through and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Studies from THE Ohio State University. Andy works in our office in Baltimore during the winter helping recruit new families among other things. During the summers, Andy is involved in many different areas around camp including athletics, evening activities, and day to day operations of camp. This will be his 10th summer at Timber Ridge and we love having his energy and experience in camp.

Richard Gill

Rich grew up in Boca Raton, FL and participated /competed in sports of all kinds. He spent summers at a great camp in North Carolina and, having discovered the beauty of the state, went on to attend Appalachian State where he received a B.S. in Physical Ed. He now resides in the mountains of NC where he has been involved in teaching, coaching and camping for the past 20 years. He's fired up about coming to Timber Ridge and looks forward to meeting y'all! This will be Richard’s first summer with us at TR and we are very excited for the amount of knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm he brings to our program!

Matt Demko

Matt is from Gilford, NH who first came to camp in the summer of 1999 as the Asst. Theatre Director. Matt has spent 11 years at camp and has loved every minute of it. Matt has worked as the Asst. Theatre Director, Theatre Director, and Inter-Boys Division Leader. Matt graduated from Keene State College with degrees in Elementary Education and Theatre and when not at camp works as a theatre teacher/theatre director at Gilford Middle High School. At school, Matt teaches 5 theatre classes and directs the plays and musicals at the high school and middle school. Matt loves Timber Ridge and considers High View his 2nd home. He can’t wait to return to camp for summer number 11.

Julio Godreau

Originally from Orlando, Florida, Julio arrived at Timber Ridge in summer of 2010, and had no plans of leaving. During the summer, Julio is involved in many areas around camp including athletics, Rock wall, Zip lining, and day to day care of campers. He has over 7 years of experience with children at camp and Kids Nite Out back in Orlando, with a background in life-guarding. Currently, Julio is a University of Central Florida (UCF) student working towards an Anthropology Degree. While Julio is not lovin’ life at camp, he helps creates a magical time for kids staying at either Universal Studios or Disney World. Julio also travels across the country as a UCF TriKnight representing UCF in Triathlons and plans on doing his first half-ironman in May. This will be his third summer at Timber Ridge.

David Butler

David Butler, a former collegiate tennis player from the University of North Alabama with over 10 years of teaching and playing experience focusing on player development and the goodness of life with the sport of tennis. This is his 4th year returning to camp as a tennis director in the summer of 2012. He recently has been recognized as a certified USPTA tennis professional and is looking forward to seeing your serve!

Emily Lanier

Originally from Orlando, Florida, Emily was a camper at Timber Ridge for seven years from 1997 through 2003. Her mother was our camp nurse for several summers as well, so her camp tradition runs deep! Currently, she is studying to be a nurse at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida while playing 1st base and catcher for their varsity softball team. This summer will be Emily’s 9th summer at Timber Ridge and we love having Emily back in camp!

Kim Keehn

Originally born in Philadelphia, Kim now resides in Puerto Vallarta Mexico with her son Obsidian where she runs a local jewelry store, designing and creating her own items. The summer of 2011 was her first summer at Timber Ridge and she fit right in. She is our arts and crafts director and runs a fantastic program. She has brought a fresh take on a classic activity and has some new and exciting plans for 2012! We can’t wait to see what she has in store for the kids this summer!

Angela Rary

Angela started out with Timber Ridge back in 2001 at Greenbriar, where she ran the horseback riding program for 3 years. In 2010 she returned to Timber Ridge as the Horseback Riding Director, and has stayed with Timber Ridge ever since. Angela has a B.S. in Equestrian Studies and a M.A. in Education. When not at camp, she teaches 8th grade physical science in Loudoun County, Virginia. She is also a certified riding instructor through the Certified Horsemanship Association and an active competitor in the equestrian sports of dressage and combined training. Angela has brought new energy and professionalism to our horseback riding program, and we expect her program to continue to expand. Her "Horsemasters" program will be back again this year, allowing interested campers to earn internationally recognized certificates for their skills and knowledge with horses.


Timber Ridge also has 15-20 adult staff members working within different areas around camp, including our onsite nursing staff and doctor, kitchen and maintenance crews, office staff and others. These are adults who do not live within the cabins but work directly with staff and children throughout the summer in every aspect of camp.
