Let your child experience camp through Timber Ridge’s Rookie Camp, an introductory program for children in 1st – 6th grade.  Your child will be able to participate in everything Timber Ridge has to offer while spending two nights and three days with us in the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains of West Virginia.

This is a great way for children to see what summer camp is like and to help calm any apprehensions they (or you!) may have.  They will get the chance to participate in our industry-leading programming and meet some other campers who could become their life long friends!

We will design a schedule packed with great activities for your child to experience.  From basketball, tennis and circus to arts & crafts, drama and rocketry: We have it all!  After a day full of activities, campers will participate in our amazing evening activities and camp fires with s’mores and canteen.  There will be plenty of laughter and excitement for our first-time campers and then they will head back to their cabins to spend some time with their bunkmates and rest for the next day.

Timber Ridge will provide transportation both to and from the Baltimore/Washington area.  After your child is enrolled for Rookie Day, we will send out more specific details regarding transportation and packing.  This is a special event and is only being offered to our alumni and current families as well as their friends.

The cost of this event is $150.  However, if your child enrolls in camp for either the 2010 or 2011 season, the total amount will be applied to their tuition.
